Picking Strawberries

In the strawberry fields

One of my favorite things about living in New England is the abundance of local farms. Monday’s weather was gorgeous after a week of muggy heat followed by weekend thunderstorms, so I decided to take the kids on an impromptu strawberry-picking trip. We were lucky enough to have this entire field to ourselves, and Emma and Johnny picked strawberries for over an hour. We even managed to bring home enough for Mike to eat some when he got home from work!

To quote Johnny: “Strawberry-ohs, Yummm!”

Did you notice that Green Bear came along?

  4. Yay strawberries! Our neighbor grows them in the front yard and we have to stop and pick them every time we pass. I was thinking of doing the whole u-pick thing this week, now you’ve made me really want to go!
