Thank you for all of your kind comments on my post about my grandfather. The kids and I arrived safely in Utah, and we are enjoying time with family. I especially enjoyed taking them over to the park by my grandparents’ house this evening, watching them run boat races in the stream and feed ducks, just like I did for hours as a kid.
My Boston-based brother and sister made it onto our same flight, which made the trip over much more bearable. Emma, Johnny, and Lily are thrilled to be here – the photo above reflects Johnny and Emma’s reactions to the trip especially =)
AND, I have a new favorite plane pastime: post-it notes. Draw MANY tiny little pictures, and stick them everywhere you can reach from your seat to create a miniature art gallery. Then clean it all up while you wait for everyone else to get off the plane since you have to pick up a gate-checked stroller anyhow.
