Photo Creativity with HP Photo Creations

mini photo books made with help from HP photo creations

The kids and I really enjoyed creating these little miniature books on our new HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook x4 using HP’s free photo creations software. HP provides the template for making themed books out of a single sheet of paper. You can add your own photos before printing or print the template only for decorating later, which is what my kids chose.

Admiring their HP mini photo books

My kids are using these as miniature books for their dolls and stuffed animals (they are filling them with pictures cut out of catalogs), but I think they would make great gift tags or thank you cards – or miniature mementos from family vacations or special events.

HP Photo Creations helps you make personalized photo gifts in two ways. You can design your items easily at home using the software (which I found very easy to work with), and then print them yourself or order them right from the program for home delivery.

The kids and I also made a year calendar (customized with a photo of all four kids) to hang on their walls so they can keep track of the year! You can see how we created both items in this video (made using the HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook x4’s webcam).

We are still loving our new computer! The touchscreen makes a huge difference in terms of making laptops accessible to young children. Computer scientist Mike loves it, too. He says he never wants to own another non-touchscreen computer.

What is your favorite way to get creative with photos? Do you make photo books? Calendars? I want to try these photo cubes next!

This post was written as part of the HP Pin the Halls campaign. I received promotional items from HP and Snapfish in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

  1. These are so cool! I have a couple of photo projects in mind with the kids. I downloaded this storykit app that I’m excited to try out. I also bought some blank books at the one spot in Target.

  2. How fun! I’m glad I found you! This is perfect for little and big hands, my daughter loves making books, I’ll have to show her this! :) Michelle W

  3. Sigh, my Mom has not so subtly been hinting she wants me to make her another calendar this year for her…… I’m putting it off.
