Painting, drawing, and creating (week in review)

Painting

This week we spent a lot of time painting! And drawing. I was especially impressed by this face that Johnny drew all by himself:

Face drawn by 4-year-old Johnny

Actually, I think he drew it two weeks ago. A couple of these pictures maybe should have been in last week’s post. Either way, I love how expressive it is, and the detail of the cheeks, eyebrows, and smile lines!

banana snowman snack

Mike delighted the kids with this banana snowman snack depicting our family! He cut up jelly beans to make the eyes and mouths.

Homemade birthday crowns on stuffed bears

Teddy bears were dressed in crowns made by Emma to celebrate Johnny’s birthday – green crowns, since that is Johnny’s favorite color!

Lily puts sticker on paper

And Lily enjoyed her favorite craft to date: sticking stickers onto paper. Surprisingly, this kept her occupied for a full 45 minutes!

  1. Sweet creative fun. You get such a kick out of finding a drawing like Johnny’s where there is the most adorable detail. Such a precious drawing.

Emma’s green crowns to help celebrate Johnny’s birthday was such a lovely idea. What a special way to add to the festivities.

Lily looks so happy with her sticker activity.

  2. That is a truly impressive smiling sun from Johnny! The snowman family is a cute idea and resulted in a VERY cute photo!! :) Michael would love it if I let my kids paint indoors because that would mean we could paint more often.
