Our Summer Plans!

Playing outside in the summer

School is finally out, and we are all loving long days to play and explore new projects! Here are a few things we are hoping to do this summer:

  • Visit a farm at least once (probably more)
  • Visit a farmer’s market at least once
  • Play in the sprinkler – already started that one!
  • Play in our yard
  • Play with bubbles
  • Read books with the kids
  • Enjoy lots of downtime
  • Get ready for baby #4
  • Visit Old Sturbridge Village again
  • Make some fun creative projects – including building with cardboard (worked on that yesterday!)
  • Eat lots of watermelon
  • Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Eat outside as much as possible
  • Enjoy the peas from our garden – all the more since the chipmunks and squirrels are doing an incredible job of eating our strawberries and blueberries before we get to them. Thankfully they don’t seem to like peas!
  • Enjoy visits from family – I am pretty sure my parents and at least one sister will make it out this summer – in addition to the sister who already lives in the area!

What are your summer plans?

  1. Our summer plans are:

    1. Finish the new house

    2. Move (yuck! Especially in South Texas August heat!)

    3. Get a routine down with 3 littles and a newborn

    4. Hopefully sneak some fun things for the kiddos in there somewhere

Looking forward to seeing another of your awesome cardboard projects. And hurrah for downtime!!!

    1. I ordered some new blades for my X-Acto knife, so hopefully we can make something really fun this time!

I am LOVING the downtime. School breaks up the day so much…

  3. Sounds like a great Summer to me! We are just hanging out and looking for any fun things to do. Today we went on an aquarium tour that was quite interesting.

  4. One of the things that always amuses me is everyone else’s summer plans are our spring plans. Come summer time it’s too hot to do many of those things, and most of our berry seasons are earlier in the year.

  5. Excellent that the animals don’t like the peas! Nothing beats fresh garden peas. One of these days I’ll settle somewhere and plant half my yard with them.

  6. Sounds like a great list! Hopefully I can meet you at Old Sturbridge Village. We’ll see. We start working today. I’m hoping we’ll get everything done fast!

  7. Love your plan! We live in Miami so our plan will include some beach time, visit to the zoo, and some central fl parks. Sea World, Water parks. Our little one is in Art camp so lots of projects happening there! Good luck with baby and you have a lovely family :) greetings from Miami!

Fabulous plans! We are doing lots of them too. We are going to see the Wiggles, meet my nephew/nieces for the first time, going swimming in the ocean and hopefully spend time at Belkin Lookout Farm.

    1. We need to visit Belkin Lookout Farm, sometime, it looks lovely.

And take our kids to a proper ocean beach!

Hope you have a wonderful summer!!!
