Happy Mother’s Day!!! Mike tried to get a picture of me with all three kids, but sometimes (usually) that just doesn’t work. Lily, though, never runs out of hugs!
We are enjoying nice weather this weekend, but it rained for most of this week – so much so that we had this frog hopping repeatedly into our sliding window! I say he was trying to get out of the rain, but I’m sure it’s more likely he saw his reflection. Or something…
The sun finally returned on Friday, and we spent the day outside. Living in New England has taught me to seize every moment of good weather!
Johnny found the perfect stick, which made his afternoon:
Emma found a pet caterpillar, and carefully constructed a house for him:
And Lily spent the afternoon bringing me flowers:
Lots and lots of flowers!
It is wonderful to be a mother!

Happy Mother’s Day, beautiful you! And thank you for not posting pictures of the new pet caterpillar. I would’ve fainted. Ironically, the kids found a caterpillar-like creature in one of our bathrooms today. It was brown, so it didn’t register in my brain that it was caterpillaresque. Then it moved and rolled over and I felt weak and wanted to throw up. Then remembered I was Mother, and Mothers, especially on Mother’s Day, have superpowers. So I removed him from the floor and flushed him down the loo. Felt disgusted, but proud.

Princess loves to bring flowers too. Almost all walks end with my having lots and lots of flowers.
