My kids love exploring the great outdoors with this big magnifying glass I got from Lakeshore Learning! I tracked it down after seeing it on Ticia’s blog, and I’m so glad I did! I don’t see it for sale there right now, for some reason…
Johnny (4 years old) and Lily (2 years old) spent about an hour walking around outside, exploring dirt, plants, concrete, cracks in concrete, a broken rubber band, and their own hands!
Do your kids play with magnifying glasses? Is it warm enough to play outside for hours on end? It’s cold here again this week, but last week was amazing!!! I hope you’ll link up your fun and creative learning – indoors and out! Text links or button links back are much appreciated :)
Last week I loved this idea of an animal scavenger hunt using old lotto cards at sunnydaytodaymama, I think these spring/Easter-themed marshmallow sculptures from B. Inspired, Mama! are adorable, and you have to check out this amazing jet plane photo from Doodles and Jots!

I love my little scientists! Great pictures!

Thank you! :)
This magnifying glass looks awesome. We have magnifying glasses, of course, but not as fancy. Unfortunately, it’s been pretty rainy this weekend, but we got out for an hour of walking in the neighborhood yesterday, and it was good for all of us.

That’s a great magnifying glass! I wish we had a Lakeshore store here, so I didn’t have to pay shipping. Some day, I will go to one. And by some day, I mean I will probably need a full day to hang out there. LOL!

Oh,I love your big magnifying glass! We have a smaller one that we often take on our walks. It’s a fun way to get the kids to slow down and take a closer look at stuff. We sometimes take a tape measure too.
