I love the variety five-year-old Emma put into these valentines – proof that sometimes it’s best to hand kids the supplies and leave them to it. They’ll do it differently on their own, and that can be a good thing!

Sometimes I am so tempted when we’re doing crafts to give the kids advice but I find, like you, that if I just let them do it, it turns out way cuter than anything I could have told them to do.

I guess I should do that too- just allow my daughter’s creativity to shine through when doing crafts. I get all OC and keep telling her how to do things :). That hampers instead of develops her talents.
