Emma shows off her little stuffed duck

When I saw these square felt farm animals at Little Family Fun I knew I’d found the perfect sewing project for Emma. We cut out all the animals several weeks ago, and now we finally finished the first one: this little duck!

This little guy was the perfect size to stuff into an envelope and send off to Emma’s beloved Aunt K., who lives and works on a ranch, as a belated birthday present. Emma was so proud of her first-ever hand-sewn gift, and she plans to make and send the rest of the animals soon!

Awesome!!! Terrific idea and fabulous execution. Emma looks adorable with her little duck. I’m sure there will be many more smiles from all her delighted recipients!

  3. What great sewing! I think I could make that too. Guess I should learn how to sew so I can teach my daughter how to do it.

  4. Oh my gosh. I love it. What a great idea and who wouldn’t love a handmade gift like this from a child. Nice job Emma. Thanks for sharing.
