Emma and Johnny spent a large portion of today playing outside. Emma apparently decided that coming in to use the bathroom was too much work, and while I was taking care of that problem Johnny decided he was hungry. He came inside, used a chair to reach a box of cereal, took it to his little table, and was eating cereal straight from the box when I found him. Not bad for a 16-month-old, especially one who only recently decided that eating solid food would not, in fact, kill him. Not that I advocate eating cereal straight from the box, particularly when your hands are covered with mud…
