 I stuck with simple crafts for Emma’s birthday party, after considering several much more elaborate options. Luckily, the kids liked them! These boxes were the main craft – I gave the kids foam shape stickers and stick-on jewels, and they went to town. No mess, and accessible to everyone, aged 2 to 6. We used 1 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of salt, and however much water it took to form a play dough-type consistency, then baked at 325 for maybe 20 minutes (larger objects would require more time). The list price was $19.99, and I paid a lot less than that thanks to a coupon. It became Johnny and Lily’s Christmas present together with these knights and fairies – also purchased at Michaels with a coupon, thank you Ticia [...] For Valentine’s Day this year, I made these kids some color-me heart stuffies, inspired by our decorate-a-monster stuffies! They were very simple to make: cut a heart shape out of muslin (twice), stitch together, trim seam allowance, stuff, stitch shut, add a face, and hand to kiddos to play with!
