Emma put this book together using photos from our family cards from the past couple of years, and I thought it would make a great projects for kids of any age!

It’s fun to see how much the kids changed between 2010 and 2011 – and they are all looking even older now!
This is also a great way to prep kids for meeting relatives they haven’t seen in a while!
You can add some durability by putting the pages in plastic sheet protectors before using pipe cleaners to “bind” the pages (or simply sticking them in a standard three-ring binder).

Beautiful!

Great motivation! I’ve been meaning to do something like this for a long time but it’s even better to have the children do it – it’ll mean s much more to everyone then! I’ve been meaning to make an extended family memory game this way. The only ones we really rarely get to see are the ones living closeby you. As you can tell I decided to not travel in March. Maybe we should have but it is alright this way.

What a beautiful idea. We regularly get asked to get the pictures out of the cupboard but it would be great if the kids could have their own book that they made between them.

I love that, too! She likes to stay VERY busy, so it’s especially nice that she comes up with her own ideas of how to do that productively, much of the time.

Thats so cute! Maybe she could add a page every year… that would be a cool thing to look at, when she and her siblings grow up!
I once made a Memory game for some kids, using photos of their family members. I just pasted pictures of people in their family onto index cards. They loved it!
