Pop-up scenes

2010_11_25_2540

First, take half a sheet of paper and draw some pictures. These will be your pop-up figures and pop-up scenery. Take a second sheet of paper and fold it in half, so it is roughly the size and shape of a paperback book.

Cut parallel lines along the folded edge of your second sheet of paper to create your pop-up stands. Then fold the lines in, as shown above.

Cut out pop-up figures and scenery. Open up your second sheet of paper and attach them to their little stands. Scotch® Double Sided Tape works well. ;)

You can also add some background scenery, like Emma’s sun and the path leading away from her house.

Attach your scene to some cardboard or cardstock. Scotch® Double Sided Tape works well here, too! =)

Stand back and admire your handiwork. Emma’s scene is a re-telling of the Gingerbread Boy story, with two little Gingerbread people. I love her sun’s smiling face!

  1. Super cute craft idea–my daughter will be busy making a Star Wars Pop Up book in no time at all and we’d love some tape to help!
