The current rage in felt dress-up bear fashions, as determined by Emma.
I made this felt dress-up bear for Emma well over a year ago, and it’s one of the most popular toys in the house. Well worth the two or three dollars I’ve spent on felt for the bear, clothing, and accessories, and beautifully portable as a purse/diaper bag toy. I especially love that, if a shoe gets left behind, I can easily make a new one when we get home!

Educational extension activities: practice colors and clothing names, and turn into a game to practice listening and turn-taking by making a spinning wheel or cards to determine what clothing item/color of clothing to put on the bear next.
My daughters would LOVE this. We have magnetic “paper dolls” which are a huge hit, but this seems just as fun.

What fun! We have similar dress up dolls for the bath (plastic, by Alex), and what a wonderfully simple alternative! I suspect that when my girls are a little older, they could make new clothes and accessories themselves!

Ha, this week I had a request for a “make-a-boy” felt set and I failed terribly at cutting the clothes the right size to fit on the little boy body. I’m not very good at cutting these things under the impatient gaze of a two year old, and I hate to give up my “me time” for it. So thank you for the templates! He’d love this, and we will hopefully be flying this weekend and I was planning to take some felt activities because they are so light weight.

Oh these are so cute! You are very, very creative. I only wish I had time to make some of these before we leave on our trip; I’m sure they’d be a great car trip activity. I have a little wooden dress up bear puzzle that I got at Target recently, so I’ll take that… but I definitely like your soft version better!
