I can’t believe summer is nearly over! August was a month of celebration in our house – Lily and Mike’s birthdays, and the wedding of a dear friend. Taking important calls on the (unplugged) hotel phone We just returned from an eight-day road trip that took us through Massachusetts (of course), New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Delaware. The trip was half for Mike (business in Atlantic City) and half for me (weekend wedding in Philadelphia). Emma never liked the button I made for this blog. She complained about it a couple times, and then dropped it – until this week, when she started a campaign to change the button. She said that other people didn’t like the button, and that nobody clicked on it. I wasn’t even aware [...] I took the middle sections out of our Swiffer Sweeper to make it child-sized, and now Emma sweeps the floor for me every morning! The reusable mop cover is from this etsy shop, and it works really well! Spring and summer are popsicle season at our house, and I like making my own with juice as a healthier (and often cheaper) alternative to the store-bought kind. I got these Back to Basics Flute Pops at Target (even though I could only find them listed online at Kmart), and they make the best juice [...] To Johnny, while playing with Lily and and Johnny on the floor: Keep the small toys away from the choking hazard girl!
